Parental Partnership Services

Redemptive Life Academy recognizes that the involvement of the parent in the educational process of the child enhances the educational experience for all. Moreover, the demonstrated commitment of the parent, reflected in personal interaction in the classroom, on field trips, in the lunch room, in after care activi¬ties and other school related events serves as a vital source of supplementation of human resources necessary to accomplish our "culture of excellence" goals and objectives.

It is our belief that contrary to the old paradigm of "bystander" parents, we must involve our parents’ front and center in their child's holistic education. Quite frankly, without strong parental partnership, the historic and visionary goals of educating 21st century leaders would be compromised.

Accordingly, it is a requirement and conditional prerequisite to continued enrollment of any student in Redemptive Life Academy, that the par¬ent provide a minimum of Ten (10) hours of Parental Partnership Services in an academic year.

Parental Partnership hours may be accomplished by assisting the classroom teacher in various "class partnership" items or by participation in field trips as a chaperone, or by participating in the many opportunities for "in kind" services needed each day of our academic year.

In the event that a parent's schedule of other commitments renders them incapable of fulfilling the Parental Partnership Service requirements, the parent may tender a Parental Partnership Service Stipend of $10.00 per hour, in lieu thereof.

Parental Partnership Service requirements will be monitored and reported quarterly. Parents will be requested to "cash out" any unfulfilled service hours no later than the end of the first semester, and again at the conclusion of the third quarter, with one fourth of the required hours being pro-rated and charged to each quarter, to avoid the possibility of a parent reaching the end of the school year with unfulfilled Parental Service hours.

REFUSAL TO COOPERATE WITH THE PARENTAL PARTNERSHIP SERVICE REQUIREMENTS WILL RENDER A STUDENT INELIGIBLE FOR RE-ENTRY TO ANY SUBSEQUENT YEAR AT REDEMPTIVE LIFE ACADEMY.
